Senior Process Engineer
Location: Angola

Role Purpose
To provide process engineering technical support to plant operations, contributing to safety, reliability, operational stability, and production optimisation through performance analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse the performance of process units, identifying deviations, efficiency losses, and opportunities for improvement.
Support operations teams in troubleshooting process issues and stabilising plant operations.
Review operating conditions, process parameters, and equipment performance, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in the preparation, review, and updating of technical documentation, including:PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams)
P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
Mass and energy balances
Process descriptions
Operating procedures
Technical reports
Support start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting activities, and investigations of incidents or operational deviations.
Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes and risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, PSSR or similar.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation, Production, HSSE, and Projects teams to ensure technical and operational alignment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, operational efficiency, loss reduction, and optimisation of resource consumption.
Support technical evaluation of modifications, minor improvements, and interventions within the facilities.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, operational integrity, and internal company standards.
Prepare technical analyses and reports to support decision-making.
Provide technical support in the supervision of suppliers, contractors, and external teams, where applicable.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–8 years’ professional experience in industrial process facilities, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
Experience in an operational environment will be highly valued.
Technical knowledge of production, separation, treatment, and utility systems.
Ability to interpret process and operational technical documentation.
Experience in analysing operational issues and identifying practical solutions.
Knowledge of process simulation tools is desirable but not mandatory.
Familiarity with relevant engineering and IT tools applicable to the role.
Proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken.

Previous experience in onshore or offshore facilities

Knowledge of international standards and best practices applicable to the sector
Experience supporting start-up campaigns, shutdowns, or operational optimisation initiatives
